I had my lights and backdrop set up for a client yesterday and the girls got dressed up and helped me test my lighting and camera settings...  They were so cute, they know exactly what I mean when I say make your eyes happier and lower your chin to your shoulder just a bit! They're old pros at this! They missed their naps though and they only wanted to sit for a few minutes (who can blame them! Being 5 and 3 they have more fun things to do like drawing on our walls and crushing dried playdough into power to change the color of the rugs!).
The chair they're sitting on is over 100 yrs old, I break it out sometimes when I take bridal portraits or when I want something to look a bit elegant and old-fashioned. I really want one of those chaise lounge chairs you see in old paintings, that will look so cool for bridal portraits and even maternity photos...

I subscribe to something called photovision (I recommend it to anyone who is thinking about starting a photography business... if you are a PPA member you get it for just the shipping cost, plus you get they're great Magazine which I have unabashedly taken so many ideas from!) anyway, a photovision DVD from last year had this really sweet idea that I want to try (so many ideas so little time!). The photographer had this bed in the middle of a lawn, and had the subject (a little girl) jumping on the bed swinging a feather pillow about with the feathers flying everywhere! I want to try this, so anyone interested in getting their daughters pictures done like this email me!
